Chicken roast with potatoes and gravy

I am an ardent follower of Ms. Mary Berry. The way she cooks, presentation everything is truly spellbound. A few weeks back, I bought a cook book of her, 'Mary Berry- Cooks the perfect'. This book has many amazing recipes and the tips given can make your food spot on. The first recipe I referred was the Sunday roast. I added my own seasonings but followed the temperature, time and other tips from the book. This is a foolproof recipe which you can make in minimal effort. Unfortunately, I don't have step wise pictures but will update when I make next time. But honestly, there's no need for images. You can just follow the recipe and I'm sure would be spot on.

Spicy Diamond cuts/ Savoury fried biscuits

Spicy diamond cuts or Spicy maida biscuits is a very easy peasy tea time snack to prepare :) It's a tradition in Tamilnadu to prepare both sweet and savoury snacks on Diwali. As I didn't have murukku maker, I was looking for some savoury snack which can be prepared without any use of murukku maker and finally found this. I was wondering on the name tag of 'biscuit' for this snack. I felt as a pakoda because it tastes almost like a pakoda/pakora.

Milk kesari / Paal kesari

Diwali is almost there. Whenever we hear the word 'Diwali', it brings back so much of childhood memories on new dress, sweets and crackers. All excitement in one day :) As we are now in UK, festivals are not like as we celebrate at our home place. We really miss those days :( It's only after coming here, I started making sweets because there's no other choice :P

On any lazy day if you want to make something quick, you can always go for this one.

Mexican vegetarian quesadilla

Mexican vegetarian quesadilla is very easy and a healthy recipe which has a good flavour from the mixture of raw and cooked ingredients wrapped in a tortilla. "Queso" means cheese in Spanish, along with some fresh vegetables and tortilla results in such an amazing taste. You can also prepare this with leftover rotis/ flat breads.

Ambur mutton biryani

Ambur is a town in Vellore district which is very famous for their biryanis like 'dindigul thalapakatti biryani' and also they say Hotel 'Star biryani' serves the bestest biryani in town. If you go via this place, don't miss their biryani !! They don't use any masala powders and still this biryani comes out with a great taste.
