Pepper capsicum chicken



Yields: 2-3 servings

Ingredients: 
1. Chicken- around 350 g cut in medium pieces
2. Onion- 2 medium chopped
3. Ginger-garlic paste- 1 tsp
4. Green chillies- 2 medium slit
5. Bell peppers/capsicum- 1 cup ( any 1 or 2 colours) 
6. Tomato sauce- 2 tbsp
7. Soy sauce- 1 tbsp
8. Black pepper powder- 2-3 tbsp
9. Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
10. Salt- to taste 
11. Oil- 2 tbsp
12. Coarsely grounded black pepper- 1/2 tsp optional

To marinate:
1. Black pepper powder- 1-2 tsp
2. Salt- to taste
3. Ginger-garlic paste- 1/2 tsp

Method:

1. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients under 'to marinate' and let it rest for 1 hr.

2. Heat oil in a pan. Add onions,chillies and saute well till onion is translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well until the raw smell goes.

3. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce and saute for 1-2 mins. Add chopped bell peppers and saute for a min.

4. Turn the heat to medium-low and add the marinated chicken, coriander powder, pepper powder with required salt. Mix well. Close with a lid and let it cook until the chicken cooks well by sauteing in every 2-3 mins. There's no need to add water. 

5. When the chicken is cooked well, switch off the flame and finally sprinkle a half tsp of coarsely grounded black pepper powder.

Enjoy having this pepper chicken with chapathi, porotta, rice etc.
