Easy Rava ladoos

Wishing all a very happy and a prosperous vishu :)

     &

Happy tamil new year too !! :)

It's VISHU !! :) Festivals brings us a lot of memories especially the childhood days... The new dress we were waiting to wear, kani kaanal, crackers, delicious meal prepared by mom and above all these my most favourite part 'kai neetam' ..... in total it would be a perfect day !! :D Reminiscing those moments feels good :) Now things have changed...grown up...married...all different now :)

I do prepare sweets only on special occassions. This time I kept it very simple that I made Rava ladoos. No powdered sugar...no tedious steps... All easy peasy that you can prepare within 30 mins :)

Yields: 15 small ladoos

Ingredients:
1. Sooji rava/ semolina rava- 1 cup
2. Condensed milk- 1/2 to 3/4 cup according to your sweettooth
3. Milk- 4-5 tbsp
4. Ghee- 2 tsp + 2 tsp for greasing
5. Cashews and dry grapes- 3 tbsp
6. Cardamom powdered- a pinch

Method:

1. Heat ghee in a pan. Fry the cashews, grapes and keep it aside.

2. In the same pan, add sooji rava and roast it in a low-medium flame until you get a nice aroma

3. Add the condensed milk and mix well until all combines together.

4. Add fried cashews, dry grapes and give a rough mix.

5. Finally add milk, caradmom powder and mix well. Switch off the flame.

6. When it is slightly cooled down, grease your hand with ghee and shape into small balls. Store it in an air tight container at room temperature for 3 days or in refrigerator for 5 days.

Enjoy your vishu :)
