Easy chocolate sponge cake


Happy Easter to all my lovely readers..!! 


Yields : 8 servings

Ingredients: 
1. Self-raising flour- 1 1/4 cups
2. Caster sugar- 3/4 cup
3. Softened butter- 3/4 cup + 2 tsp for greasing
4. Eggs- 3 medium to large
5. Baking powder- 1 tsp
6. Cocoa powder unsweetened- 3 tbsp
7. Oil- 1 tbsp
8. Icing sugar- for dusting

Method:



1. In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, butter, eggs, baking powder, cocoa powder, oil and whisk it with an electric whisker for 4-5 mins until it is well whipped.



2. Grease the cake tin with butter and transfer the mixture into it. Bake it in an preheated oven at 180 deg C/ gas 4 for 35-40 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Transfer the cake onto a plate or wire rack and let it cool completely.

Dust the icing sugar on top and serve!! Have an Eggcellent Easter :)
